Making Classic Pieces New Again ~ 5 Classic Pieces Styled For Fall

    Happy Tuesday!!

I am so excited for this week of fun content for you all!! This week we are talking all about decluttering, using things we own and mixing them with new falls pieces. I love these types of posts because it is all inspirational!

Today is super fun because we are talking all about the classic pieces in your closet!! Every time I go in to declutter my closet, I always keep my “classic” pieces. The pieces that I come by over and over in my closet and never get rid of. These are older pieces in my closet that have held up but remain timeless pieces that I can style year after year.

For today’s post I am taking you along with me in sharing 5 of my classic pieces in my wardrobe that I have had for years and we are making them new again! I will be styling these classic pieces with new fall pieces!! So hopefully this inspires you to pull out your classic pieces and make them new again!!!

1. Chambray Top. I paired my classic J.Crew Chambray Top that I’ve had for many years with my recent new cashmere vest, my favorite faux leather leggings, and some metallic sneakers. This is an easy and comfortable look that anyone can recreate!

2. Navy Buffalo Check Button Down. A button-down I just cant give away. I love it because it is lighterweight so when I layer with it its not so bulky but it gives me all the fall vibes! So I paired it with my latest favorite cardigan, my favorite basic medium denim, a cognac bag, and these neutral new balance shoes!3. Denim Skirt. I actually got this denim skirt quite a few years ago during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Its my favorite denim skirt. There are so many similar options to this skirt as well including THIS ONE or THIS ONE! I love pairing it with this recent mustard yellowy sweater! It’s slightly cropped so it hits at the right spot. Then of course I had to pair it with my favorite mules and cognac bag!

4.Black Maxi. Remember when maxi dresses were a huge trend? Well I went crazy with them and I eliminated a ton in my closet but I always remain to keep my plain black one. I actually love it as a layering piece. HERE IS A SIMILAR ONE. It is great on its own but I also really love it with this chunky sweater layered over it for fall. I also paired it again with my favorite mules, a black hat, and cognac bag!

5. Gray Turtleneck Sweater. J.Crew comes out with great turtlenecks year after year. This sweater has lasted so long in my closet HERE IS A SIMILAR ONE! I always think its super chic and classic looking. I always just pair it with jeans so I challenged myself to change it up. I paired it with this (SIMILAR HERE) suede skirt (that is also older and I absolutely love in my closet!), my black booties, and a small black bag!

I hope this all was a fun read gave you some inspiration to dig into your closet. Find those classic pieces that you can’t get rid of and pair them with some new pieces to freshen up your look for fall!!

Thanks for reading!

Always,

Erin
